One of the most visited towns in Belgium is the famous Brugge (also called Bruges). It's a perfectly preserved medieval town, which somehow escaped the destruction of the first and second world wars, unlike most of Belgiums cities.
Belgium is scattered with burial sites for soldiers from all across the world, who died on it's flat fields and in it's forests. You can still wander many of those fields today and find evidence of those bloody battles.
